Reserves

The library has print books, audio-visual materials, flashcards, whiteboards, computer power cords, and other tech lending and physical materials available on reserve. These items may be checked out for a 3-hour period. Late fines are $1.00 per hour returned late. These items may be renewed, provided no other students are waiting to access them.

Course Reserves

Faculty may place textbooks and other materials on course reserve by notifying Joy Whitfield, jwhitfi8@nccu.edu.  Please specify author, title, and edition for each item, as well as the course name/number. Personal copies of books or photocopies may also be placed on reserve; these will be returned to the faculty member at the end of the semester.

Please allow 48 hours for processing reserve materials in order to make certain that they are available in time for course assignments.

DVD Collection

The Law Library's popular DVD collection circulates differently from the rest of the collection.  The circulation policy, spelled out below, was designed to keep the collection readily accessible for NCCU law students, faculty, and staff. The Law Library also has two portable CD/DVD readers available for use in the law school only. Please see a staff member at the Service Desk if you would like to check one out.

Borrowing Privileges

  • Only NCCU law students, faculty, and staff may check out DVDs from the Law Library's DVD Collection.

Circulation Period

  • Materials from the Law Library's DVD collection circulate for 7 days.

  • Patrons can check out up to 3 DVDs at a time.
