Research assistance is available to you in several different ways. NCCU's law librarians are here to help you locate the materials you need to conduct thorough research and get a grasp on the legal subjects you are studying; please take advantage of all of the services offered. However, you should know that law librarians cannot provide you with legal advice.
You may contact the Law Library reference desk at firstname.lastname@example.org. Reference email is checked daily, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays and vacation periods. You may expect a reply to your question within 1 business day from the time a librarian receives it.
You may contact the Law Library reference desk by telephone at 919.530.6715. Telephone reference service is limited to brief legal research questions and/or general questions about the Law Library. Patrons may be asked to use our email reference service or to schedule an appointment with a reference librarian for assistance with extensive questions.
NCCU law students may call 919.530.6715 to schedule an appointment to discuss research strategies with a reference librarian. You can also stop by the reference desk or any of the reference librarians' offices to schedule an appointment.
NCCU law students may text the reference desk at 919.648.0247. If a reference librarian is on duty, they will get back to you quickly. Text messaging service is best when you have a quick legal research question or general question about the Law Library.
